Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

As a Personal Support Specialist or paid Homemaker, you can work with those who are aging and people with disabilities. Provide support that allows them to be as independent as possible in their homes, on the job, and in the community. You’ll assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This may include meal preparation, routine housework, grocery shopping, and other household tasks. Employers may reimburse job applicants for training costs.

Work with individuals who are living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs), Brain Injuries, Autism, and other conditions. Support them in developing and maintaining the skills they need to remain healthy, safe, and as independent as possible.
